Über die genannte „Open Co-op“ bin ich eben auf die Commons Engine gestoßen, auch so eine Holochain-Sache. Der Name hat mich aufhorchen lassen, aber es geht mehr um Währung und Wirtschaft, und man sagt auch ganz offen, dass man Tauschlogik gut findet. Siehe zum Stichwort Währung auch das MetaCurrency Project, das damit verbandelt ist und das Silke schon kennen müsste.

Dann gibt es da noch die Ansätze, selbstverwaltete, autonome Organisationen zu schaffen, allen voran DAO und DisCO. Ich denke, das entfernt sich schon deutlich, was wir machen, z. B. nimmt Technik ja eine ganz zentrale Rolle ein. Auch geht es mehr um „Governance“, also um die Akte der Selbstverwaltung, als um das, was dann tatsächlich in einer Organisation passiert. Aber ich stoße im Moment „zu oft“ drauf, um es nicht endlich mal zu nennen…
DAOstack
To tackle today’s biggest problems, we need to coordinate around our shared values more effectively than our current systems allow.
Blockchain makes a new type of organization possible: the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). A DAO is a network of stakeholders with no central governing body, just a set of rules encoded on a blockchain. We believe DAOs have the collaborative potential the world needs.
The DAOstack project is building a modular, open-source software stack for DAOs that includes a library of governance protocols and friendly interfaces for creating and managing DAOs.

Die DAOs scheinen mir (a) geschichtslos, in dem Sinne, dass dort politische Ideengeschichte vernachlässigt und nicht reflektiert wird und (b) elitär, also ein Silion Valley, das die nächste Lösung für die Menschheit entwickelt. Ein Beispiel für das, was da so passiert, ist Aragon, ein Beispiel für ein Toolkit ist Colony.
Auch dachte ich, DisCOs (Distributed Cooperative Organisations) seien hier irgendwo schonmal aufgetaucht, aber ich finde es nicht mehr. Daher nun nochmal:

DisCOs is a P2P/Commons, cooperative and Feminist Economic alternative to Decentralised Autonomous Organizations (or DAOs).
Distributed Cooperative Organization is a clunky name that, while accurate, fortunately reduces to “DisCO” which is a lot easier to remember. The DisCO takes a friendly but carefully planned approach to people working together to create value in ways that are cooperative, commons-oriented and rooted in feminist economics. DisCOs are amplified by the power of Distributed Ledger/Blockchain technologies, harnessing the utility of tech without being completely tech-centric, emphasizing mutual trust and remembering to have fun.
In that way, DisCOs pose an alternative to Decentralised Autonomous Organizations. Also known as DAOs, these are blockchain-based entities that can operate somewhat autonomously to execute payments, levy penalties, and enforce terms and contracts with minimal human interaction. DisCOs are a proposal to use the best aspects of DAO tech, but applied specifically toward inclusive, locally grounded and transnationally networked cooperatives that focus on social and environmental work. Contrasting many decentralized/ blockchain proposals, DisCOs aim to prioritize mutual (human) support, cooperativism and care work, and to avoid being overtly exclusionary and techno-deterministic.

Open Food Facts is a collaborative database containing data on 1 million food products from around the world, in open data. This project will allow users of our website, mobile app and our 100+ mobile apps ecosystem, to get personalized search results (food products that match their personal preferences and diet restrictions based on ingredients, allergens, nutritional quality, vegan and vegetarian products, kosher and halal foods etc.) without sacrificing their privacy and having to send those preferences to us.
Folksonomy engine for the food ecosystem
Everybody is interested in the food they eat, by many different aspects, ranging from taste, cost, ingredients and nutrition to its impact on health, the environment and society. We also happen to have many different names for the same food, the way we prepare it and other properties - sometimes only used very locally. That means it is not always easy for everyone to effectively search open data sets like OpenFoodFacts. Open Food Facts - sometimes referred to as the „wikipedia for food products“ - is the biggest open food-database in the world.
The Folksonomy engine for the food ecosystem created within this project will unleash an ocean of new data and uses regarding food. Citizens, researchers, journalists, professionals, artists, communities, and innovators will be able to define and add new properties of their choice to food products on Open Food Facts for their own use or to enrich the shared knowledge. Open Food Facts already feeds hundreds of data reuses. Thousands more will become possible thanks to the new user defined properties.

Platform for creating, publishing and using open local knowledge
OpenEngiadina is developing a platform for open local knowledge – a mashup between a semantic knowledge base (like Wikipedia) and a social network using the ActivityPub protocol. openEngiadina is being developed with small municipalities and local organizations in mind, and wants to explore the intersection of Linked Data and social networks – a ‚semantic social network‘.

Das Projekt klingt ja mal super nah an unserem und ist auch freie Software (siehe GitHub-Repository HUB-HUmanBeing/SystemD). Evtl. kann man da über eine Zusammenarbeit nachdenken?

Pursuance

At its core, Pursuance is end-to-end encrypted task management software designed to facilitate mass collaboration/coordination, and that has a number of unique features.
Das Projekt scheint mir tot zu sein, aber vielleicht kann man trotzdem etwas lernen. Es ist nämlich ebenfalls freie Software (siehe GitHub-Repository PursuanceProject/pursuance).

Ich mag die Idee, das als Projektmanagment-Tool zu nutzen. Allerdings habe ich mich auch schon mal angemeldet und so als Forum finde ich das nicht wirklich tauglich. Also, es gibt - soweit ich das sehe - einfach keine solche Struktur, wie github oder discourse sie bietet. Das Forum sind nur einzelne Beiträge wie facebook-Nachrichten, die man kommentieren kann.
Und dann natürlich noch teilbare Dokumente/Tabellen/etc. aber so richtig diskutieren ist wohl schwer.
Nachtrag: Aber lass das auch gerne diskutieren. Der Flair davon ist schon hübsch.

Es ist mir nicht so richtig sympathisch, da mich die „Vermarktung“ (siehe Website) ein wenig an diverse alt right-Netzwerke erinnert. Den Aspekt der Selbstmoderation fand ich aber spannend genug, um ihn hier zumindest mal genannt zu haben.

Der ehrenamtliche Einsatz soll keine bezahlten Arbeitsplätze ersetzen, sondern digitale und kreative Ressourcen dort zugänglich machen, wo sonst die Mittel dazu fehlen.
Doppelt spannend: Einerseits, weil wir die Hilfe brauchen könnten, andererseits, weil es nicht ganz unähnlich zu unserem Ansatz ist. Was meint ihr?

CommonTasker
The original idea about the application was that it could feature three discrete components, enabling users to crowdsource tasks, exchange information (e.g., question and answers capabilities), and share equipment in line with the sharing economy paradigm, respectively. However, from the very beginning, the work on it has followed the participatory design approach and has relied on interactions of various forms with the local community in shaping its scope and features.
These interactions escalated during a workshop in the Sarantaporo area in November 2016. The workshop participants included community members but also actors from the broader Greek community of commons and the private sector documented in D3.1. The fruitful discussions in that workshop and the reaction of the community to different topics presented by the workshop participants, motivated the focusing of the application towards the data crowdsourcing functionality. The idea that attracted most the interest of local farmers was to turn the application into an online assistant, which would help them record and organize their everyday activities in their farms but also share them, where appropriate, with other community members and external actors.

netCommons ist ein von der EU gefördertes Projekt zur Erforschung der Frage, wie man Netzwerk-Infrastruktur als Commons behandeln kann. CommonsTasker ist eine Anwendung, die in diesem Rahmen entwickelt wurde. Der ursprüngliche Plan kommt nah an unsere Idee heran, nach dem Community-Input liegt der Fokus eher auf Datensammlung und die App heißt nun AppLea. Das Ganze ist trotzdem eine Notiz wert, da

FabAccess
Wir entwickeln ein föderierbares Verwaltungssystem für FabLabs, Makerspaces und Hackerspaces. Mit FabAccess soll der Zugriff auf Maschinen verwaltet werden, um so Unfälle zu vermeiden.
FabAccess besitzt dabei drei Hauptfunktionalitäten:
- Maschinenverwaltung
- Berechtigungssystem
- Nutzerverwaltung
FabAccess ist in eine Client-Server Struktur aufgeteilt. Unsere Server Anwendung hat den Codenamen Diflouroborane(BFFH) und ist in Rust geschrieben. Unsere Client Anwendung hat den Codenamen Borepin und ist in C# mit Xamarin geschrieben.
Zur Kommunikation zwischen den Anwendungen verwenden wir Cap’n Proto.
Die Anforderungen für FabAccess wurden mit Mitgliedern des Verbands offener Werkstätten und mit Betreibern von FabLabs an Hochschulen entwickelt. Das daraus entstandene Lastenheft findet sich in unserem GitLab Projekt dazu.

Inserats- und Abrechnungsdienst für Tauschringe
Tauschgemeinschaften können Obelio unabhängig voneinander als Dienst nutzen und dabei jeweils ihre eigenen Marktregeln, Verrechnungseinheiten und Benutzerkreise beibehalten.
Die Teilnehmer interagieren mit dem Obelio-Portal entweder online oder sie nutzen ihre jeweiligen Tauschringadministratoren, um die online-Buchungen durchzuführen. Sie brauchen also nicht Internet-bewandert zu sein, um die Vorteile des Obelio-Services zu nutzen.
Ich habe Obelio mal stellvertretend für Tauschringe aufgenommen, von denen wir uns ja ebenfalls abgrenzen wollen.

Wie funktioniert fairleihen.de?
Wer sich anmeldet und drei eigene Sachen zur Leihe anbietet, der kann sofort andere Sachen ausleihen. Es erfolgt immer eine persönliche Abholung beim Verleiher. Dafür steht ein Vertrag zur Verfügung und bei Übergabe sollte ein kurzer Blick auf den Ausweis geworfen werden.
Warum ist fairleihen.de kostenlos?
Warum ist fairleihen.de kostenlos? Weil wir es für eine gute Sache halten und darum die Leihplattform spendenfinanziert betreiben. Wir sind als gemeinnützige Organisation anerkannt und können Spendenbescheinigungen ausstellen. Eventuell werden wir später zu weiteren Spenden aufrufen.
Wir verstehen diese Plattform als eine Art „Wikipedia“, mit dem Unterschied, dass nicht Wissen geteilt wird, sondern Sachen. Ob Wissen oder Sachen, in beiden Fällen entsteht durch den Gemeinsinn von Einzelnen ein großer Mehrwert für die ganze Gesellschaft.

Die Plattform zum nachhaltigen Leihen und Schenken
Das Leila in Berlin ist ein Leihladen für Gegenstände aller Art z.B. Werkzeug, Gartengeräte, Outdoor-Equipment, Küchengeräte, Kinderzubehör, Sportgeräte etc… Die Mitglieder teilen mindestens einen Gegenstand mit dem Leihladen. Leihen statt Kaufen spart Geld, Ressourcen und Platz. Damit nichts als Staubfänger oder gar im Mülleimer endet. Damit wir alle einfach besser mit den Ressourcen unserer Erde umgehen. In Bochum, Dresden, Eberswalde, Heidelberg, Leipzig, Wien und Bologna sind Leihläden entstanden. Viele weitere Projekte gründen sich aktuell und brauchen dafür eine Leihplattform.
Mit cosum.de werden wir dieses Konzept erweitern und eine Commons-basierte Sharing-Plattform installieren, über die es außer für Leih-Orte wie das LeiLa auch für Gruppen vor Ort (z.B. Hausprojekte, Bürogemeinschaften, Kirchengemeinden, Freundeskreise etc.) möglich wird, die Leihe untereinander zu organisieren.
Ja, wo leihen sie denn?
Leihen von Mensch zu Mensch Cosum hilft dabei, das Verleihen zwischen Menschen, die in Kontakt zueinander stehen, zu organisieren. Über Gruppierungen lassen sich auch Gemeinschaften abbilden.
Leihen im Leihladen Ein Leihladen ist ein Ort, in dem Gegenstände wie in einer Bibliothek aufbewahrt und verliehen werden.

Mach mit bei Pumpipumpe und teile deine Alltagsgegenstände mit deinen Nachbarn – für einen bewussten Umgang mit unseren Ressourcen und eine lebendige Nachbarschaft!
Bestelle deine Sticker, klebe sie an deinen Briefkasten und lass damit deine Nachbarn sehen, welche Dinge sie von dir ausleihen können. So kannst du dich ganz einfach und lokal für einen sinnvollen und nachhaltigen Umgang mit Konsumgütern einsetzen.
Scheint ganz gut zu dem Bereich „Umgang mit gegenständlichen Mitteln“ und „Klebezettel“ zu passen, die wir bei den Komponenten des GCS identifiziert hatten.
Venus Project
The Venus Project is a non-profit organization that presents a new socio-economic model utilizing science and technology toward social betterment to achieve a sustainable civilization of abundance for all, without exception.
War ich schon einmal drauf gestoßen und hatte es ignoriert, aber es ist ein gutes Beispiel für eine abschreckende Initative, die irgendwie etwas besser machen will, aber dabei eher wie der Stoff für die nächste Science-Fiction-Dystopie wirkt. Das ist gemein, weil ich es mir kaum näher angesehen habe, aber ihre Website wirkt nun einmal so.
ouishare
Ouishare started in 2012 around a Utopia: the idea of a ‘Collaborative Society’, made up of communities of peers that work and live together.
Over the last 8 years, we built an international network of committed members. We discussed and revealed divergent opinions about the collaborative economy and its potential to transform society. We gathered researchers, activists, innovators and decision-makers from around the world at one-of-a-kind events such as Ouishare Fest in Europe and Colaboramerica in South America. We explored social challenges beyond myths and clichés by doing research on the ground, about the impact of the collaborative economy in rural areas, and how people living in underprivileged areas use digital technology. We ran speculative design processes with citizens to explore scenarios for the future of the work world.

Virtual Assembly
The Virtual Assembly is an ecosystem of people and organizations developing Commons (tools, methodologies and projects) in a collaborative way to empower the transition movements.
It was created in 2011 and has about forty active contributors involved in about twenty projects.
It makes intensive use of the semantic web and the peer to peer approaches.
Its objective is to promote the networking of actors through the synergy of their information systems.

SemApps is an open-source software project whose development is coordinated by the Virtual Assembly (VA), a French-based non-profit organization bringing together about fifty developers and activists.
In a context of strong fragmentation of dynamics in the field of transition, VA aims to develop commons (digital tools, methodologies and projects) to promote the interconnection of transition movements.
SemApps is one of the Virtual Assembly’s core projects. Its mission is to foster interconnections between communities by creating synergies between their information systems.
SemApps is a collaborative, interoperable, generic and modular knowledge management system:
- Based on linked & data semantic web technologies, it allows the co-production of knowledge graphs.
- Built on open standards, it enables the development of interoperable information systems.
- Designed on a modular architecture, it gives everyone the opportunity to build and customize platforms on demand.
Its code is released under the Apache 2.0 free license.
Open Food Network
Our open source platform enables new, ethical supply chains. Food producers can sell online, wholesalers can manage buying groups and supply produce through networks of food hubs and shops. Communities can bring together producers to create a virtual farmers’ market, building a resilient local food economy.
